Sportsmen Against Hunger takes antlerless deer killed by hunters, pays for the processing, and distributes the meat to the needy across South Dakota.
You can make a tax-deductible cash donation to help offset costs of processing
game animals donated through SAH.
Donate money by mail
Checks or money orders can be made out to "South Dakota Sportsmen Against
Hunger" and sent to:
Sportsmen Against Hunger
PO Box 1172
Pierre, SD 57501
Donate money when you buy your license
Donations may also be made by using the check-off for SAH on the online
or paper applications for hunting licenses.
Donate your own processed meat
Donate commercially processed game meat from your freezer to a local "clean
out your freezer" food drive project if there is one planned for your
community. If no such project is planned, encourage a local sportsmen's
club, service club, church, etc. to organize one, usually held in September
just prior to most hunting seasons. For information on how to organize
a "clearn out your freezer" food drive, contact
us!.
